Distribute LTA order to IRP

You can distribute an LTA order created in Einstein II VMS to Einstein II IRP (Internal Resource Pool) to onboard internal Employees to the order.

  • This functionality is available only if your Organization is configured to use both the VMS and IRP systems.
    Distribution from VMS to IRP works only for LTA orders.

To distribute an LTA order to IRP:

  1. Create an LTA order in VMS or edit  an existing one.
  2. On Order Details > the Job Distribution section, select one of the following options from the Job Distribution menu (Hide the imageSee the image):
    • Internal: immediately distribute the order across all internal Employees in IRP.
    • Tiering logic Internal (available if the "Tiering logic configuration" is turned ON in IRP): distribute the order across the eligible internal Employees according to the configured IRP Internal tiering logic.
    • Make sure to also select one of the VMS distribution options (All/Tiering logic/Selected). Otherwise, you will not be able to submit the order.
      You should choose one VMS and one IRP distribution option.


  3. Select Submit in the upper right to distribute the order.

Distribution logic

After distributing the order to IRP, the following logic is applied:

  • The order immediately becomes available in both systems with the Open status.
  • Then, the order goes through the order workflows defined for the specified region, location, department, and skill in IRP and VMS, respectively.
  • In IRP, the order's credentials update according to the corresponding mapping configured in this system.
  • Once an IRP Employee applies for the order, the order status updates to In Progress which is reflected in VMS as well.
    All further order status changes are also synced between IRP and VMS.
